Within our in-house equipment range, the products leading the way are the CTS Fuel Tank Level and Bund Alarms. Our range of fuel tank alarm options, including mains and battery multi-zone alarms, single channel, economy alarms, ATEX and bund alarms. From hospitals to universities to data centres, our fuel tank alarms are installed on generator bulk tanks worldwide, including on the bulk generator tanks of a large British Telecom company. As well as being reliable in audibly and visually alerting to an overfill, low level or bund leak, our fuel tank alarms also benefit from:
- Day tank controller feature to automate the filling of a generator day tank from the bulk tank by turning on the pump when the low level is reached and turning it off once the tank contents reach the set high level.
- Ability to be connected via relays to external equipment such as a Building Management System for the remote monitoring of high and low tank levels or a potential leak in the bund.

Prevent susceptible generators from the risk of stagnant fuel!
Fuel contamination and stagnated fuel are one of the biggest threats to emergency generators. As the fuel in back-up generators is only called upon in an emergency and can therefore be sat for months or even years, it can become stagnated and put at risk the critical power supply. The main reason for this is that when fuel is left unused for long periods, the water is left to settle, and the “diesel bugs” are left to grow, generating a nasty sludge that can easily block filters, fuel lines and cause a complete system failure.
A fuel maintenance programme needs to be implemented to prevent this and ensure that fuel in the back up generator is regularly turned over and filtered. Our Fuel Recirculation Unit is designed to do just this by turning over 1.5 times the tank capacity every 28 days and not allowing the “diesel bugs” in your fuel to fester.
